Supplier of sports betting software and trading services Amelco has received regulatory approval to deliver its products in Colorado, the latest state to have joined the US sports betting fold following the annulment of the federal ban on the practice two years ago.
Amelco’s Colorado license marks another important milestone for the London-based sports betting supplier as it looks to strengthen its foothold in the US athletic gambling market. Including the Centennial State, Amelco now has licenses from the gambling regulators in four states to provide operators with its solutions.
Founded in 2006, Amelco specializes in the development and delivery of bespoke sportsbook and trading solutions for tier-one operators within the sports betting industry.
The company was formed by financial sector veterans who used their fintech experience of building software solutions for pricing, trading, and execution platforms to turn Amelco into a leading supplier that delivers its products to a number of tier-one, multi-territory gambling operators, including Flutter Entertainment and GVC Holdings, among others.
Colorado Expansion
Shortly after obtaining its license in Colorado, Amelco has launched its solutions in the state with The Stars Group’s FOX Bet brand (now part of Irish gambling powerhouse Flutter Entertainment).
Amelco said this week that it is now gearing up preparations for the launch of its second sportsbook solution in the Centennial State later this month.
The company is set to debut the BetWildwood sports betting platform through a recently signed partnership with ISI Race & Sports. The solution will be Wildwood Casino’s first online sportsbook. The gambling venue is one of several located in Cripple Creek, Colorado.
It should be noted that Amelco is also already live in three other states with FOX Bet and other operations.
More Major Partnerships to Be Announced
Commenting on their Colorado debut, Amelco Head of Business Development Brandon Walker said that he is delighted to announce that the company has been granted another license in the rapidly growing list of US states where they will be providing their solutions. According to Mr. Walker, their latest license once again highlights their “platform’s capability to meet any compliance requirement.”
The official went on to say that after their launch with The Stars Group, they are now set to deliver Wildwood Casino’s first online wagering offering, with the casino being one of “Cripple Creek’s most popular VIP-centric locations.”
Amelco has a number of other major sports betting partnerships in the pipeline.
Colorado was the latest state to go live with sports betting. The state legalized sports betting last November when voters approved the practice in a statewide referendum. First wagering services went live in early May and more followed quickly.
Colorado has attracted quite some attention from major gambling operators, with the likes of bet365, The Stars Group, and Betfred being only few of those to have ventured or are planning to venture into the state’s sports betting market.
