Wynn Las Vegas Has Over 500 Coronavirus Cases

Industry

The Coronavirus numbers are in for the Wynn Las Vegas, with well over 500 confirmed cases among staff and hotel guests reported. And while that number may sound high, it’s actually just over a rate of 3% total.

The company has conducted over 15,000 COVID-19 test on employees which resulted in 548 positive cases, which calculates to a rate of 3.6%. However, there were over 50 positive tests before the hotel and casino began to welcome guests back, which lowers the infection rate slightly to just 3.3% after the reopening.

Also significant is that contact tracing results showed that 98% of employees who did test positive contracted the virus outside of work. And while six guests have also had positive results for Coronavirus since the reopen, the company has tested more than 500,000 people.
