Mobile drives traffic of global top 3 online gambling websites in August

ogonet and SEMrush have revealed new traffic data of global and regional online gambling and gaming for the month of August.

Global data of top gambling websites by traffic shows bet365.com leading with 224,866,843 users, up 5% from July, with 68% coming from mobile devices. Caliente.mx came next with 93.19 million (82% from mobile), flat from the prior month. The top three was rounded out by loteriasyapuestas.es, which saw a monthly increase of 6.4% hosting 63.95 million users —90% from mobile devices.

In the US, the top gambling websites didn’t see major changes in August. The Florida Lottery (flalottery.com) was the only one in the top five to see a monthly increase, further expanding its ranking leadership with 24,024,665 users, up from July’s 22.65 million. It was followed by the Texas Lottery (txlottery.org) with 15.155.036, down from 16.59 million. The lotterypost.com came next seeing a decline from 15.4 million to 13.59 million users.

UK top gambling website traffic numbers were flat in August from the prior month. Bet365 led the ranking with 34,258,829 users, slightly up from its 33 million in July. Skybet came next with 20,212,275, down from its 21.11 million mark reported the prior month. William Hill overtook Betfair with 19,135,903 users, an increase from its 18.54 million in July. 

The LatAm market was also included in SEMrush analysis. In Brazil, bet365.com led the ranking with 94,845,151 users, a 11.9% increase from July. Ojogodobicho.com came next with 45,769,926, a significant drop of 43% from its 81.2 M mark in the prior month. Still far behind them, sportingbet.com climbed to third place with 11.71, overtaking freebitco.in, which fell by 45% to 6.4 million users.

In Mexico, Caliente.mx easily kept the first place with 93,148,725 users, flat from July (93.79M). Codere.mx came second with 1,111,840, while Betcris.mx hosted 270,685 users.

In Colombia, betplay.com.co came on top with 27,916,053 users in August, more than doubling July’s numbers (13.88M). Wplay.co came next with 14,354,996 (a monthly growth of 38.8%), and they were followed far behind by rushbet.co, which made it to the top three by doubling its traffic numbers to 1,584,161, and overtaking Codere.com.co (1,433,182)

In Peru, inkabet.pe led with 5,434,748 users in August, a 40% increase from July. It was followed by Teapuesto.pe (2,251,165), which overtook bet365 (1,898,282, down from 2.45 M). Chile’s online gambling traffic ranking was led by bet365.com with 1,116,907 users, up from July’s 718,079. It was followed by sportingbet.com (265,740) and bet365.es (46.723).
