Online casino content supplier and aggregator Relax Gaming announced on Monday that it has tapped a third Stockholm-based in-house games studio to build on the success of its proprietary casino titles.
The company’s latest announcement comes as it celebrates its tenth anniversary. Over the past decade, Relax has grown immensely to now provide its operator partners with an ever-growing library of more than 1,000 online slots and other casino games, including in-house built content and titles from third-party providers.
Of its third partnership with a Stockholm-based games developer, Relax said that it has brought on board another highly talented team to compound its game development business and grow its capacity to craft market-leading proprietary content while focusing on pushing design boundaries.
Relax further noted that the newly added in-house studio and the developers behind it already boast a reputation for delivering strong-performing content and that it shares Relax’s vision for original and high-quality products.
Further Expansion in Sweden
To facilitate its growth in Sweden, Relax revealed that it has opened a new office in the country’s capital. The newly opened office will complement Relax’s presence in Sweden as it already has an office in Malmö.
Aside from its existing offices, the company also revealed plans to open new hubs in several countries as part of its growth strategy. Relax currently has offices in Sweden, Vaasa, Helsinki, Tallinn, Belgrade, and Malta.
The company said it would open six more new locations in the next 12 months to accommodate its fast-growing staff. Aside from the newly opened Stockholm office, it has also opened one in Gibraltar after obtaining a B2B gaming license from local regulators.
It also revealed that it would expand the capacity of its existing office and would employ more team members. In Malta alone, Relax’s team has grown by more than 30% since January. It is set to open a new office in the tiny island nation.
Building a Team on a Foundation of Deep Industry Knowledge and Expertise
Commenting on hiring a new in-house studio, Relax Gaming CEO Tommi Maijala said that they recognize a great talent and that they have built a team “on a foundation of deep industry knowledge and expertise.”
Mr. Maijala went on to say that every member of their new Stockholm office is a “fantastic addition” to the entire group and that together they all bring a level of experience that will enable them to further bolster production of content.
The addition of a new studio marks a landmark year for Relax’s proprietary content and the game development teams behind it. Over the past 12 months, the company has launched several titles that have become an instant hit, including Money Train 2, which quickly smashed company records, as well as Hellcatraz, La Fiesta, and Temple Tumble.
