Players Could be Spinning Bitcoin Slot Machines Soon

Could we soon be seeing Bitcoin slot machines for some of our favorite game titles? Our friends at IGT are working on that right now! And soon, popular titles like their Megabucks and Wheel of Fortune could be accepting cryptocurrency payments!

IGT recently received a patent after developing a way to move Bitcoin and other cryptos from player’s game accounts and their cryptocurrency wallets. Additionally, they got regulatory approval in Nevada. That means that a slot player could transfer Bitcoin to a slot machine with a few swipes on their phone!

The Coronavirus pandemic has increased the interest in virtual currencies. And operators believe that the use of Bitcoin may help casinos attract Millennials and other young gamblers. The Nevada Gaming Commission helped clear the way for cashless systems last year.
