Entain teamed up with new partners as a way to extend its responsible gaming commitments into new areas including video-gaming and esports. Part of the global sports betting and gaming entertainment operator’s policy is to raise both the quality of entertainment and protections to its customers globally.
Entain announced a partnership with the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association, Kindbridge, Rise Above the Disorder and Epic Risk Management. All those organizations will work with the gambling company and its non-profit charity organization Entain Foundation to provide mental health support services and education to everyone who finds themselves at risk.
Entain Foundation has been promoting responsible gaming, sports integrity and corporate compliance. With the help of the four other organizations, it will work on providing affordable professional as well as individual therapy and care.
There is no surprise Entain chose to collaborate with those four particular entites. Among them is EPIC Risk Management which had previously worked with Entain both on US ground and internationally and it will be extending its activity in order to address video gaming and esports.
Meanwhile the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association is already regularly featured in esports events, Kindbridge focuses its work on treating gamblers and gamers struggling with their mental health and Rise Above the Disorder covers the cost of mental health care for tens of thousands of people around the world.
Strategy for Sustainability and Growth
Part of Entain’s strategy has always been prayer protection and safety. The company is committed to providing the best services for its customers and its safer gaming strategy does just that.
Entain Foundation provides education and support projects, as well as research and data analysis using proprietary technology to pioneer new and higher standards of online player protection.
Martin Lycka, Entain Senior Vice President for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling and Trustee of the Entain Foundation US, explained: “We are committed to supporting initiatives that encourage responsible gambling and gaming in every way we can”.
According to Lycka, a great number of players are already practicing safe gaming without any problems. Entain’s mission is to provide them with additional experience while keeping them safe.
He added: “These new partnerships are initial steps in this and other new directions as we both expand our offer to customers and the protections we put in place to protect the very small number who may be at risk.”
Entain’s latest announcement supports the company’s plan to expand into video-gaming and esports while promoting responsible gaming. It recently unveiled its Advanced Responsibility and Case (ARC) initiative which is the first to use data science, behavioral analysis and technology to develop protective and preventative measures that work in real time.
Last year Entain hired Dr. Mark Griffiths, a Distinguished Professor of Behavioral Addiction and Psychology at Nottingham Trent University, to advice the company on triggers for problems with online play and addiction, which is supporting the ongoing development of ARC.
