Playtech announced a new content partnership with 888. As part of the deal, it will provide the operator with bespoke live casino offering.
According to the agreement’s terms, 888casino’s platform will host a range of the supplier’s live casino and random number generator games.
Another important term of the deal is that it will see Playtech host a bespoke 888 branded studio in its live casino production facility, located in Riga, Latvia.
888 studio will be able to feature a variety of live casino games and exclusive Playtech content, which includes Live Slots.
Regarding the deal, Edo Haitin, chief executive of live casino at Playtech, said: “888’s significant investment in, and commitment to, the live casino vertical demonstrates just how important an entertainment-led experience is becoming for the modern player.”
Haitin expressed his excitement for having the opportunity to partner with a market leader like 888 “to deliver an exciting, innovative Live and RNG offering for their players”.
He added that the partnership comes at a very important time for Playtech since it is launching more new games and variants than ever from which 888 can benefit.
Potential Growth of Live Casino
Playtech issued recently its financial report, which spoke openly about the future growth of the casino vertical. In its H1 2020 results, the brand described: “significant momentum in live casino with new signings and existing licensees” since the company recently expanded its existing partners, adding Totalizator Sportowy, BetConstruct and Svenska Spel to the list.
Guy Cohen, 888’s senior vice president and head of B2C, commented: “At 888, we are constantly looking for partnerships that strengthen our product offering and I believe Playtech’s live casino and RNG content will do exactly that.”
He added: “The new games will expand upon our existing suite of games to provide new, exciting, and engaging gaming experiences within a safe and secure environment.”
As a conclusion, Cohen said that he was looking forward to working with Playtech to grow the partnership.
In December 2020, Playtech announced another important partnership, this time with Casumo. The commercial deal is part of the company’s plan to expose its products to a wider gaming audience.
Playtech announced that the reason behind the Casumo deal was its desire to roll out Casino and Live Casino titles across the Malta-headquartered online gambling operator’s brands in several regulated markets.
Starting with the flagship Casumo operation, Playtech is set to soon launch its Casino and Live Casino games. The provider will then gradually roll out its games across Casumo’s wider brand portfolio, including Dunder, Kazoom Casino, and CasinoSecret. The integration with the latter three is expected to be completed in early 2021.
