The MILLIONS Online crowned four new winners at partypoker on Friday, March 5 including Alexandros Theologis, Eelis Parssinen, Daniel Koloszar, and Joshua Hoesel.

Alexandros Theologis Beats Adrian Mateos to Win the MILLIONS Online #23 Mix-Max ($74,937)
The MILLIONS Online #23 Mix-Max boasted a $3,200 buy-in along with a generous $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. The guarantee was just met with 100 entrants getting into the action.
The one-day event, which lasted slightly more than 8 1/2 hours, featured a unique format featuring eight-max action for the first 15 blind levels. The rest of the way was six-max barring the seven-max final table.
Two players with Union Jack flags but from different countries in Greece’s Alexandros Theologis and Spain’s Adrian Mateos battled it out in heads-up play. Mateos was denied the title and had to settle for the runner-up prize of $49,929 after Theologis beat the Spanish poker superstar to win his first MILLIONS Online title along with the $74,937 top prize.
The final table was full of superstars. Rui Ferreira joined Theologis and Mateos on the podium before he bowed out in third place for $34,855. Others at the final table outside of the top three included Pavel Plesuv (fourth – $24,014), William Foxen (fifth – $17,718), Andrii Novak (sixth – $13,956), Samy Ouellani (seventh – $10,072).
Patrick Leonard, who fell just short of a final table appearance, finished the best among the partypoker Ambassadors with a tenth-place performance for $7,860.
Meanwhile, Daniel Koloszar won a mini-version of this event featuring a $320 buy-in and a $66,000 guarantee to bank the $13,138 top prize.

The MILLIONS Online #24 6-Max Omaha High Roller was another one-day event taking place on Friday, March 5. The event boasted a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool for a $5,200 buy-in. The guarantee was crushed by 25 percent with 50 entrants getting into the action.
The event, which took less than seven hours from start to finish, featured three Finnish players at the final table. Samuli Sipila (sixth – $13,950) and Sami Kelopuro (seventh – $12,006) were the first two players eliminated at the final table, while fellow Finn Eelis Parssinen shipped the event for $80,981 for the biggest prize of the day after defeating Brazil’s Dante Fernandes (second – $49,736) in heads-up play.
Maximilian Lehmanski (third – $32,437), Ka Kwan Lau (fourth – $22,489), and Adam Hendrix (fifth – $16,651) were also at the final table collecting five-figure cashes.
In related news, Joshua Hoesel won the mini-version of this event featuring a $530 buy-in and a $53,000 prize pool for $11,439 after agreeing to a heads-up deal with Robert Svedin (second – $10,621).

Harald Sammer Bags Day 1a Chip Lead in the MILLIONS Online #25 Closer
The Closer is a progressive knockout two-day event boasting a tasty $500,000 prize pool for a $1,050 buy-in. The event features three opening flights on March 5-7 with players playing down to a winner on Day 2 on March 7. There is also a mini-version of this event featuring a $200,000 guarantee for a $109 buy-in running with the same format.
Harald Sammer is in the captain’s chair in the Closer after bagging a stack of 15,683,283 on Friday’s Day 1a. Also heading into Day 2 from the Day 1a field with at least 10 million in chips were Andre Marques (13,265,460), Pavel Veksler (12,556,992), and Fernando Ferreira (12,114,515).
Meanwhile, Dominik Nitsche also will head into Day 2 with a big stack after accumulating 8,444,342 in chips on Day 1a.
Day 1b will take place on Saturday, March 6 at 7:05 p.m. GMT with players having one final chance to advance on Day 1c on March 7 at 3:05 p.m. GMT. Day 2 will quickly follow Day 1c with the opening bell ringing on March 7 at 7:05 p.m. GMT.
