Russian star Artur Martirosian helped himself to yet another six-figure score on March 14 when he finished in first place in the $5,250 Sunday 500 High Rollers event at GGPoker.
Martirosian was one of 117 players who bought in for $5,250 and help create a $585,000 prize pool. The top 17 finishers won a slice of this prize, so spare a thought for 18th place finisher Sam Greenwood who burst the money bubble.
Adrian Mateos, Timothy Adams, and Pablo Silva were the first players to cash in this tournament. Other luminaries, including Mike Watson, Sami Kelopuro, Niklas Astedt, and Michael Addamo also saw a return on their investment.
All nine of the players at the final table locked up at least $14,275. Ivan Zufic was the man who got his hands on this sum. Laurynas Levinskas, “riverking3497”, Joakim Andersson, and Patrick Leonard joined Zufic on the sidelines.
Isaac Haxton’s impressive run ended in a fourth-place finish worth $58,265 before David Coleman busted in third for $77,191, which sent the tournament into the heads-up stage.
Martirosian and Seth Davies clashed one-on-one and it was Martirosian who came out of that skirmish with the $135,486 top prize in tow. Davies consoled himself with a $102,266 runner-up prize.

Delaine Binks The High Roller Big Game at partypoker
Tom Delaine won an $840 buy-in tournament at GGPoker while grinding out the $2,600 High Roller Big Game at partypoker. The result was the same with Delaine being crowned the tournament’s champion. The $81,260 he won at partypoker was far chunkier than his GGPoker prize, however.
Some 138 players turned out for this weekend’s event and Delaine outshone them all. The final table read like a who’s who of the poker world with the likes of Pascal Lefrancois, Timothy Adams, Andras Nemeth, and Daniel Dvoress all reaching the final nine places.
Delaine found himself up against Thomas Muehloecker and he brushed him aside to net the largest score at partypoker this weekend. Muehloecker, while disappointed not to win, must be please with the $53,572 he got his hands on.
