Pariplay Awarded Greek Online Casino Supplier License

Latest News

Online casino games maker and supplier Pariplay, part of Aspire Global, has been the latest B2B company to announce that it has been granted a suitability license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission in Greece.

This new license enables Pariplay to supply its proprietary and aggregated online casino content to locally licensed operators.

It should also be noted that the newly issued license marks the provider’s first foray into Greece’s regulated online gambling market. The country recently reorganized its iGaming space by introducing certain amendments to the local gambling laws and regulations.

Under the new rules, the maximum bet on any online slot is capped at €2 per spin and players have to wait for at least three seconds before being able to place a new bet and respin the reels of their game of choice.

Under another important new rule, the maximum prize an online casino game is maxed out at €70,000 per round.

Following the introduction of the new measures, the Hellenic Gaming Commission began issuing and reissuing licenses to casino game suppliers to make sure their products are compliant with these new measures.

Pariplay is the latest online games maker and supplier to have been granted a new license by the local regulator, with Playson and Play’n GO being some of the other companies to have recently obtained such a license.

Greek Expansion

Greece is one of the fastest-growing markets in the region and has attracted quite some interest from both online gambling operators and content providers over the past several years.

With its Greek license, Pariplay will be able to enter the local market and provide both its in-house and third-party games to operators with a license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission.

Pariplay’s Fusion aggregation platform features thousands of online casino titles from a number of the industry’s leading game makers and suppliers. In addition, the platform boasts a rich suite of back-office conversion and retention tools that are all designed to enhance player value. All these will now be available to Greek players via local operators partnering with Pariplay.

The provider said that its new license from Greek authorities was the result of a comprehensive application process and that it marks an important time for the company following its recent expansion across numerous other markets, including Colombia where it teamed up not long ago with Spanish gambling giant Codere.

Commenting on their latest big announcement, Pariplay CCO Christine Lewis said that Greece is a “fast-growing market with great potential” and that they are thrilled to be issued a local license as this “underlines our commitment to compliance and operating in regulated territories.”

The Pariplay official went on to say that they now look forward to working together with Greece-facing operators and introducing their content to local players and that they are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and about growing their brand “in this thrilling market.
