Some Jurisdictions Issue Las Vegas Travel Warning

Industry

As the new Delta Variant of the Coronavirus surges, multiple jurisdictions within the country have issued a Las Vegas travel warning.

Earlier this past week, cases in Nevada showed nearly a 25% jump over the previous week, with hospitalizations rising seven percent. Even worse, the weekly average for new cases per day in Clark County was up 74% from two weeks ago.

Local governments in California, Illinois, and Hawaii have issued a Las Vegas travel warning for their residents. Even the White House has now added Sin City to its “areas of concern” list as a sustained hot spot for the virus.

Earlier this week, we reported that Nevada’s Governor reinstated a face mask mandate for employees working indoors and around the public. And today, that mask mandate has been expended to visitors as well.

This is a developing story, and you can learn more at the Clark County website.
