Pragmatic Play introduces new “high-tech” game mechanic in latest video slot release: Rise of Giza PowerNudge

Casino News

Pragmatic Play has introduced an innovative mechanic to one of its titles for the very first time, with the Ancient Egypt-inspired video slot, Rise of Giza PowerNudge, the latest addition to the provider’s multi-content portfolio.

The 5-reel, 3-row, 10-payline game puts an imaginative spin on a well-used genre, bringing a new-look civilization with a steampunk/digital feel, while showcasing a new high-tech mechanic.

Here, the return to player (RTP) is 96.49 percent while gameplay is highly volatile and the max win is 4,000 times the bet

New game mechanic and symbols:

The PowerNudge advance serves its purpose well as an alternative to a cascading win system and appears at all stages of gameplay, including the base game and during extra spins when a progressive win multiplier is in play. Every winning combination sees the feature set in motion, causing the reels within the winning combination to nudge down one position. When this happens, new symbols are revealed at the top and all winning combinations on the screen are paid again.

Comprising the paytable are seven regular pay symbols, which include digitalized versions of Ankhs, Eyes of Horus, Bastet, Pyramids, a robotized pharaoh, and an empress with a monocle. Landing combinations of five matching symbols are worth 1 – 12 times the stake.

Other game features:

Also featured are tiny scarabs, which serve as the game’s Scatter, and may appear on all reels on random symbols. The scatter activates the extra spins mode when at least three appear on the reels.

Wins can start from any reel, with players being awarded eight extra spins for when they land three matching symbols across the 10 fixed paylines. The number of extra spins increases with more matching symbols. Landing four like symbols awards 10 extra spins, five earns 12, etc. When in this mode, the number of extra spins awarded is not capped while the game guarantees a payout of 5 times the stake every time the extra spins mode is activated.

Meanwhile, the new mechanic also entered the picture here, as PowerNudge operates in the extra spins mode by boosting the multiplier by 1x after each nudge or resulting extra spin.

Extra spins purchase option:

Furthermore, depending on the jurisdiction, players may be able to purchase the extra spins mode rather than triggering them. If choosing the option, the cost is 80x the total bet and produces a spin comprising a minimum of 3 scatters

Tailored gaming expereince:

Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play used a company news release to comment on the new mechanic stating that they are “delighted” to introduce PowerNudge to one of their titles for the first time, which has helped them design a “truly bespoke gaming experience” for their audiences.

“Rise of Giza PowerNudge™ revitalises the Ancient Egypt genre, keeping players on their toes with improved visuals, a lively soundtrack and a progressive mechanic that provides huge win potential!”

The trademarked Rise of Giza PowerNudge joins Pragmatic Play’s expansive games portfolio, complementing other player-favorite releases such as 5 Lions Megaways, Book of Vikings, Buffalo King Megaways and a multitude of other innovative HTML5 games

Coming soon:

Players can expect the provider to drop its next big hit, Chili Heat Megaways, which incorporates the renowned mechanic licensed from Australian games developer Big Time Gaming (BTG), on August 26th!
