The Barcelona Football Club is currently in heavy negotiations with the Qatari football club, Al – Sadd, for the release of Xavi Hernandez as Al – Sadd’s head coach so that the former Barca all-time great midfielder can return to Camp Nou as the next head coach of Barcelona’s football club.

“The two clubs are in conversations and we don’t know how it will end,” Hernandez explained to the Catalan public television station TV3 on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021.It is very exciting. I don’t know what will happen.

The former Spanish – born midfielder proclaimed that coaching Barca would be “an exciting step” in his career.

“I am a very positive person. I believe that common sense will prevail and there will be an agreement,” Hernandez goes on to say. “Both clubs know my position, and I hope this can be resolved soon.

“We are all very eager. It would be spectacular.”

Presently, the Al – Sadd football club appears to be extremely apprehensive to release Xavi especially in the middle of intense domestic as well as international play progresses during the current football season.

In a recently released public statement, Hernandez’s current employer expressed it “welcomed the visit of the administrative delegation” from Barcelona. But the CEO of Al – Sadd, Turki Al – Ali, mentioned: “The club’s position is clear from the beginning – we are committed to keeping our coach Xavi with us and we cannot have him leave at this sensitive time of the season.”

The Al – Sadd football club is leading the Qatari league by just 3 – points after only 9 – games so far this season.

Barcelona has played just 2 matches under their caretaker coach, Sergi Barjuan. Barjuan recently took over managing Barca right after the inevitable firing of their former head coach, Ronald Koeman, as Barcelona was a mess as they were having severe difficulty competing in both the Spanish league as well as the highly – contested Champions League.
