Presently the top three places in the English Premier League go to, in order of, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool and all 3 of those football clubs won their latest matches. Only 2 points separates these 3 powerhouse teams in the standings of the Premier League. With Liverpool truly entertaining their fans across the globe in their last game against the Everton.
Liverpool rocked 4 – goals for a 3rd – consecutive match as they embarrassed Everton with a final tally of 4 to 1 on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 as they raised Liverpool’s goal scoring total to 43 over the course of 14 contests which is currently the highest in a major European league so far this season.
Jürgen Klopp’s 2020 EPL champs remain in 3rd – place, but with another 24 matches that are left to go this season there is a lot of time for things to shake out in the Premier League as of now.
It is a rare situation when the three front – runners were playing at the same time on the same day, but boy we were all so lucky today. Manchester City defeated Aston Villa with a final score of 2 to 1 in order to remain just 1- point ahead of the 3rd – place Liverpool. Manchester City stays in 2nd – place of the EPL. Chelsea remains only 1 – point above all in the English Premier League following the beat down that they gave Watford by the same exact tally of the game mentioned above.
The top 3 EPL football clubs pulled away from the 4th – place West Ham United who was eventually held to a 1 to 1 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion. Leicester City and Southampton also had a 2 to 2 draw, while the meeting between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley ended goalless.
