Clarion Events, the owner and organizer of casino industry tradeshows such as ICE, has entered into a new long-term partnership with the National Indian Gaming Association to bring the tribal business coalition’s annual Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention to the next level. Clarion’s multi-platform ICE brand is expected to add support and expand the Association’s reach across all channels.

Tribal gaming is the 11th largest employment sector in the United States and produces US$35 billion in annual revenues from gambling alone and another $6.2 billion in additional revenue from entertainment and concert venues at casinos, hotels, restaurants, and retail.

The 2021 Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention was held in July and was the first large-scale in-person event held in the industry’s American sector since the COVID-19 outbreak. The event was attended by leading suppliers, commercial gaming operators, and tribal leaders with attendance matching the numbers found at shows prior to the world health emergency.

A Few Short Months to Prepare

The show will return to its regular April calendar slot this year and will occur from the 19th to the 22nd inclusive in Anaheim, California.

National Indian Gaming Association Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. spoke of tribal gaming being a dominant force in the gaming community with revenues increasing each of the past 10 years before the pandemic.

The work we do empowers our tribal communities and generates important revenue for economic development,” chairman Stevens said. “We are already building back. As we look to establish a new normal, we are excited to join forces with Clarion Events”.

He acknowledged that Clarion Gaming honors his industry association’s mission and vision and gave a nod to the event giant’s expertise in organizing and executing large-scale tradeshows and conventions.

Stevens continued, “With their partnership, we will grow the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention and expand tribal gaming’s global reach through ICE.

Expanding Partnerships

Clarion Events North America CEO Greg Topalian spoke of the organizer’s long-term relationship with the Association that goes back over 7 years and added: “We greatly respect the work that the Association does for its members and the tribal gaming community,” Topalian expounded. “As part of Clarion Events’ ongoing strategy, we are actively looking to expand upon our current partnerships and work together with new associations to scale events and support their missions.

“Greater ties between the National Indian Gaming Association and our ICE brands will build on their standard of excellence and grow the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention to new heights.
