On Tuesday, December 21st, 2021, as if it was even possible for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah to execute and record a hat trick, to be shown up by the young teenage phenom, Charlie Patino, but it may just have happened as the academy graduate Patino scored a rare debut goal for Arsenal as they defeated Sunderland with a final tally of 5 to 1 on Tuesday.
Only 11 – minutes following Patino coming off of the bench for Arsenal, Charlie completed their dominating 5 to 1 victory over Sunderland with a solid goal which just so happened to send Arsenal into the semifinals of the League Cup.
The dramatic stoppage – time goal score taking place from the Emirates Stadium located in London, England witnessed the 18 – year – old promising midfielder in Patino poke in a shot following Nicolas Pépé rolling the football out into the penalty area.
Pépé did not only set up his teammates with nice assists as he also added to Arsenal’s goal scoring effort as Pepe netted the 2nd – goal in the 1st – half for Arsenal shortly after Nketiah netted the match opener from close range during the 17th – minute of match play versus the 3rd – tier side of the contest.
Then Nathan Broadhead got a goal back for Sunderland. That was their only goal score of the match for them. Nketiah’s restored the dominance for Arsenal with his back – heeled flick in to the back of the net to reestablish Arsenal’s 2 – goal advantage 4 – minutes into the 2nd – half of the football match.
Finally, Nketiah completed his treble masterpiece during the 58th – minute of the contest following him getting the sweet end of a cross – kick by Pépé who was all over the field setting up him comrades last Tuesday.
This was just another dominant as well as confidence boosting assault for Arsenal, who is now presently in the 4th – place spot in the English Premier League (EPL) as they attempt to stop a 5 – season exile from the elusive Champions League.
