Raw iGaming, the innovative online gambling game developer completely reimagining slots play has completed its acquisition of Argentinian slots and software developer Leander Games. The widely overlooked yet technically and aesthetically excellent portfolio of Leander titles can now accept the integration of Raw’s SuperSlice mechanic into them.

Raw’s SuperSlice reimagines the way reels spin for a win by adding a wheel with anywhere from 2 to 12 slices to any game. The wheel produces randomized results in the number of slices that appear each spin as well as what the slices hold such as mini-games, free spins, high-value symbols, and multiplier triggers. A slice can also appear empty.

Look for the mechanic on existing Raw iGaming slots like The Magnificent SuperSlice, Wheel of Rock, and Journey to Chaos.

First Acquisition for Raw iGaming

The recently completed acquisition is a first for Raw iGaming, which was launched in 2021 by industry vet Tom Wood. The company has offices and labs in Sweden and Spain and keeps its headquarters in Malta.

This is an amazing opportunity to bring together our SuperSlice innovation with one of the best distribution platforms in the industry, along with access to the studio that is known for great titles like Ave Caesar and Alibaba and the Forty Thieves,” said Wood, CEO of Raw iGaming.

After meeting with Leander management, we felt the immediate cultural connection, identified their deep skillset in platform and distribution, as well as the clear synergies we both bring in-game development making Raw a new force to reckon within content and game distribution.”

Leander Games was launched by Ramiro Atucha in early 2008 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is now certified and live in over a dozen markets. Later, Steven Matsell formerly of Gaming Technology Solutions, which was acquired by Playtech in 2009, took over the reins.

Marriage Made in Heaven?

We are very excited to become a part of the Raw family and start the next chapter in Leander by marrying Raw’s innovative vision with our market-leading platform as well as the integration of the game teams to deliver even more innovative groundbreaking content,” said Steven Matsell, CEO of Leander. “This strengthens our dedication to our customers and partners, offering new games and platform innovations which are sure to shake up the market.

We look forward to being a part of Raw and supporting the fight against industry monotony. We welcome new operators and studios that are ready to join as well.”

The undersung powerhouse of Leander brings to the table not only a quality suite of slots but an accomplished team schooled and experienced in player psychology, scriptwriting, statistics, mathematics, illustration, and design.
