The organizers of the Gaming & Technology Expo confirmed on Friday that the GAT Expo Cartagena event will take place on March 29-30, 2023 at the Cartagena Las Americas Convention Center, in Colombia.

“The purpose in 2023 is to hold a large format fair, in a venue featuring more than 6,000 square meters of flexible space, in order to offer exhibitors an ideal exhibition area located on a single level, in the Santa María A and B halls, for the presentation of gaming machines, products, and services, in line with the development of an industry in continuous evolution and at the technological forefront in all its verticals”, the organization stated.

GAT Expo Cartagena will accompany its booth exhibition area with a full academic agenda, and a series of complementary B2C events with esports and poker tournaments that will bring together participants and visitors from Colombia, the United States, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe, mainly.

To date, the companies confirmed for this event are Zitro, Sportradar, Habanero, Betgames, JCM Global, Cluster Tech, TV Bet, Tuocheng, ICT, Mobadoo, and Tangiamo. “The organization is in the process of closing agreements with a significant number of traditional Gaming & Technology Expo exhibitors, with a constant presence at GAT Cartagena, GAT Punta Cana, and GAT Showcase Bogota,” they added.

“Cartagena de Indias and the Hotel Las Americas, adjacent to the convention center, offer the public an extensive variety of services, entertainment, gastronomy, and unique networking experiences, to create and strengthen business ties between entrepreneurs and leading companies of the gaming industry, with economic interests in the regional market”, the organization further explained.

“The exhibition grounds, as well as the event’s hosting hotel, are located five minutes from Cartagena’s international airport, ten minutes from the tourist area of Getsemaní and the walled city, a World Heritage Site, as declared by UNESCO in 1984,” they pointed out.

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Expo, stated: “We are currently finalizing the details of our next event, GAT Showcase Bogotá, on September 16. At the same time, our efforts are focused on the strategic planning of the parent show, which we will hold by the end of March next year. Although the centerpiece of this large format event is the exhibition of land-based equipment and online platforms for sports betting, live casinos, virtual games, novelty games, and esports betting in the spacious halls of the Cartagena Las Americas Convention Center, the contents in corporate and institutional conferences will be very relevant for the updating of executives of all the participating companies, thus integrating the GAT Gaming Week, which is unique in Latin America”.

“I would like to emphasize the relevance of this fair which, for the first time, brings together the B2B and B2C segments due to the importance and growth of the Colombian gaming industry. We also confirm the support of the associations Asojuegos, Cornazar, Fecoljuegos, Fedelco, and Fedecolde, as well as the support of Coljuegos, the regulatory body of the sector in Colombia, which presents extraordinary growth figures in sales and collections in the first semester of 2022″, Aguirre concluded in a dialogue with Yogonet.
