Details about the new Vegas Strip resort being planned by billionaire Tilman Fertitta have been made public. The owner of the Golden Nugget casinos purchased land across from the Aria several months ago, and now we’re starting to get an idea of what’s in store.

According to county records, Mr. Fertitta will put a 43 story hotel on the roughly 6 acre parcel. The resort will also have restaurants, bars, and a convention space, as one might expect. But there will also be a wedding chapel and theater which can handle 2,500 attendees.

This new Vegas Strip resort will definitely be an upscale property, with suites and villas, as well as VIP salons, an auto showroom, and a lounge exclusively for high-limit gamblers. A representative for Fertitta Entertainment said that the company has “…acquired a truly unique piece of real estate”, and that they are exploring this development opportunity.

Fertitta Entertainment is headquartered in Houston and owns luxury hotels and restaurants such as Landry’s, the Rainforest Cafe, and the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. The also own the NBA’s Rockets and the Golden Nugget casinos.

Mr. Fertitta paid $270 million for the land parcel, and the Clark County Commission will consider the project plans next week on October 19th.
