Ladbrokes launches sportsbook adaptation of HungryBear Gaming’s Slot Masters multiplayer game

Industry

UK and Canada-based game design and development studio HungryBear Gaming has built and launched a bespoke sports betting version of its Slot Masters multiplayer game for Ladbrokes.

The product, promoted as Clash of the Day, is powered by the same free-to-play tournament mechanics that “made the original Slot Masters experience successful” and has been adapted to appeal to UK football fans.

The Entain brand’s customer base can now compete in head-to-head competitions with fellow players, with a wide range of prizes up for grabs including free bets and spins.

Users have the option to select a Premier League club of their choice or the operator’s own Fanzone FC and must collect enough points during each promotional period to climb the leaderboard. A key difference to the original Slot Masters is how players deploy tactics to get ahead of their opponents, which include:

  • VAR – freezes the opponent’s reels for a period of time
  • Tackle – slashes 50% of the opponent’s balance
  • Wall – defends against all attacks for a set period
  • Red card – steals 100% of the opponent’s funds

HungryBear Gaming noted that the launch of Clash of the Day marks “a key milestone” for the studio and Slots Masters, “showcasing the product’s flexibility in catering to operator demands and interacting with audiences beyond the slots community.”

Justin Chamberlain, CEO of HungryBear Gaming, said: “The launch of Clash of the Day with Entain and Ladbrokes is an important moment for us. It demonstrates the potential of the Slot Master’s model, providing online sportsbooks and casino with an efficient and fun way to further engage players.

We’re proud to have taken our partnership with Ladbrokes to the next level. The operator was among the first to back the Slot Masters concept, and we value their trust in deploying this latest sports version.”
