Poker News

Day 33 at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was another four bracelet day!

Elie Nakache put on an impressive heads-up display to win Event #68: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. He beat Joshua Adkins in a one-sided duel that resulted in Adkins leaving in second and Nakache taking home $1,320,945 and the WSOP bracelet.

Ben Collins took down the bracelet for Event #67: $500 Salute to Warriors No-Limit Hold’em. Collins won $207,486 for his win and the event raised $180,680 for U.S. veterans’ organizations after getting 4,517 entries.

Event #68: $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em made Colin Robinson very happy. Robinson got a second-place finish in the Monster Stack last year and had a bad start to Day 3 of this event. So, he was relieved when he managed to take this one all the way home. He earned $667,963 and his first bracelet in the process.

Last, but not least, Event #69: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better went to Nikolay Fal who won $153,730 for his victory over a tough final table that included Joey Couden and Yuval Bronshtein.

Elsewhere at the series, Gus Hansen entered the PLO High Roller; Kerstetter, Shahade, and Spragg bagged Day 2 of the Ladies Event; and the 2-7 Triple Draw Championship condensed to a final nine with 25 bracelets and a hall of fame spot between them.

Sunday, June 30 will be Day 34 of the 2024 WSOP. Unusually, there is now just one bracelet event scheduled for completion on the day. There is also one new event to kick off and three others that will plough onward.

The new event tomorrow will be Event #74: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.

The one event you really won’t want to miss is the stacked last act of the 2-7 Lowball No Limit Championship. With twenty-five bracelets and a Poker Hall of Fame spot between them, the final nine of this event are headed for what might be the sickest final table of the series so far.

Event #73: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha has also pulled in a ton of the biggest names in poker. Ivey, Negreanu, and Hansen all have bags for Day 2. And with two more levels of late registration to play out, there’s still time for more legends to join them.

Originally scheduled to finish on June 30, The Ladies Event event has had a day added to its run, extending the action into July 1. As a result, on June 30, this event will play down to the final five with some big names still in the field and hungry for that bracelet.

The Colossus has one more Day 1 flight to play out — Day 1c. After the action on June 30, the field will be finalized and ready to come back for a combined Day 2 on July 1.
