BF Games Primed for Portugal Debut with Betclic Deal

Latest News

Online casino game development studio BF Games is set to enter Portugal’s regulated iGaming market through a deal with French gambling group Betclic.

Under the terms of a recently signed deal between the content maker and provider and its new operator partner, BF Games will provide Betclic with access to a range of its top performing slots.

The games will soon roll out across Betclic’s Portuguese site and will also become available to customers of the rest of the iGaming brands in Betclic’s portfolio. Titles that the operator and its players will gain access to will include fan favorites Book of Gods, Bonnie & Clyde, and Stunning Hot as well as top performing classics Lucky Tropics and Crystal Mania.

Portugal is the latest of several regulated markets BF Games is set to debut its content in since the beginning of the year. In early 2020, the games creator announced a content supply deal with Romanian operator MaxBet.ro that secured it with entry in that market.

In April, the company announced a similar deal with Uniclub Casino to make its first foray in the Lithuanian iGaming space.

And most recently, BF Games grew its Georgia footprint with a content partnership with locally licensed operator Crocobet. The iGaming studio premiered its content in the Georgian market late last year when it announced a strategic alliance with local leader Adjarabet.

Regulated Growth

Betclic is among the leading operators in the Portuguese market and BF Games’ partnership with the company is a big first step in the content provider’s expansion in that regulated space. In fact, the French gambling group was the first operator to receive a license from Portugal’s gaming regulator, SRIJ, following the reorganization of the market in the spring of 2016.

Betclic first obtained a sports betting license and launched its wagering product in the country to then expand its footprint there by going live with online casino gaming.

Commenting on their partnership with Betclic, BF Games Head of Business Development Claudia Melcaru said that this was an important step for her company as it gears up to enter a new market together with “the leading brand in the region.”

Ms. Melcaru went on to say that their entry in Portugal with the French gambling group is just the first step in their partnership and that they “look forward to working together to further grow our brand across several existing regions.”

Betclic Casino Manager François Dogon said that they are always looking for “fresh and exciting content” to add to their customer-centric brands and that BF Games provides “a varied games portfolio of traditional slot titles mixed with innovative games” that Mr. Dogon is certain will resonate well with their growing customer base.
