Spin Casino Player Bags €1.6 Million Jackpot on Microgaming’s Major Millions

Latest News

Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network recently made another lucky player a millionaire. That latest win was the seventh this year to exceed €1 million.

On July 20, a Spin Casino player landed a seven-figure jackpot on Microgaming’s Major Millions progressive slot. The player is based in the UK but asked to remain anonymous.

The lucky slot enthusiast won €1,650,382.89. They struck the prize less then a month after opening an account with Spin Casino. The player hit the Major Millions jackpot after staking just €3.

As it is with all payouts on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, that one will too be paid out as a lump sum and not in annuities.

A UK spokesperson for Spin Casino said that they are “absolutely thrilled” for their player who has become a millionaire overnight. The spokesperson went on to say that Microgaming’s Major Millions progressive jackpot slot has always been a widely popular game and that they are delighted the slot’s newly added five-reel version “is proving similarly so with our customers.”

Microgaming’s Major Millions has been around for a long time and has rightfully been celebrated as one of the software provider’s legendary progressive jackpot titles. The original Major Millions game featured three reels, but Microgaming later on launched a five-reel version that, it seems, is equally popular with slots fans.

Third Major Millions Millionaire This Year

The Spin Casino jackpot win was the third time a player scores a seven-figure win on Major Millions this year, following another €1.6 million prize in March and a €1.2 million jackpot in mid-June. And as mentioned above, the UK player was the seventh millionaire made by Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network this year.

Other notable wins so far in 2020 include four seven- and eight-figure jackpots on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah, Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah, and Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah.

In April, a player at Jackpot City hit a €10,735,716.84 prize on Microgaming’s iconic Mega Moolah game. That was the latest eight-figure win scored on the legendary title, which has broken the record for the largest ever progressive jackpot slot win several times over the years.

Microgaming has paid out more than €30 million in seven- and eight-figure wins so far this year. And more than 550 players have trousered wins of €10,000 or more playing Microgaming’s progressive jackpot slots since the beginning of the year.

Overall, the gambling software provider has paid out over €115 million in progressive jackpot wins across 2,571,389 jackpots so far in 2020.

The company is set to further enrich its progressive jackpot slots portfolio with several upcoming new releases over the next few months, including Book of Atem: WowPot and Sisters of Oz: WowPot, which will both feature Microgaming’s revamped WowPot jackpot, as well as Fortinium Gold: Mega Moolah, Juicy Joker: Mega Moolah, and African Legends.
