Weekend Preview: $200K Big Game, GG MILLION$, Sunday Million

Poker News

This weekend will feel strange because it’s the first of many recently that haven’t had the WPT World Online Championships, 2020 WSOP Online, or the World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) running. Just because these series are done and dusted doesn’t mean you don’t have the chance to win big because there are some massive events for you to get your teeth into.

partypoker’s Big Game and Mini Big Game

partypoker is pulling out all the stops to make its multi-table tournaments fair, fun, and accessible to all its players. It’s doing this by limited late registration and the number of re-entries players can purchase.

The Big Game is one of the site’s biggest weekly tournaments. It costs $530 to enter and for that you receive 1,000,000 chips and play to a 12-minute clock where blinds start at 2,500/5,000/650a. Oh, and there’s $200,000 guaranteed.

There are $55 Big Game Phase 1s running that give you a cheap route into the Sunday’s finale at 8:05 p.m. CEST. Progress from a Phase 1 and you take your chip stack through with you to the Sunday final.

Those of you wanting a smaller buy-in event can enter The Mini Big Game that costs $55 to enter and has $50,000 guaranteed. Like The Big Game, The Mini Big Game has $5.50 Phase 1s to enter if you want to try turn a small buy-in into a large prize.

Late registration in both events ends after 12 levels and only one re-entry is allowed. No more having to bust seven Alex Foxens or Isaac Haxtons on your way to glory.

$6 Million Guaranteed Across GGPoker’s MILLION$ Events

GGPoker has several huge tournaments for you that all come under the MILLION$ banner. These multi-day tournaments have Day 1s running several times per day throughout the week and conclude in a Sunday final.

There’s a Zodiac MILLION$ costing ¥500 ($75) that has a ¥1,000,000 ($150,000) guarantee. This tournament is perfect if you’re in the Asia-Pacific timezone.

You can also get involved in the $100 buy-in Global MILLION$ that has a cool $1,000,000 guaranteed to be won, while those of you with deeper pockets can jump into the $500 High Roller MILLION$ where at least $2 million is set to be won.

The Super MILLION$ isn’t for the faint-hearted because it commands a $10,000 buy-in, but does have a $3 million guaranteed prize pool. This event is slightly different to the other MILLION$ because it only has a single starting flight, held on Sunday, with the final day taking place on the following Tuesday.

This weekend there is a GGSOP edition of the MILLION$, a $100 buy-in affair with $2 million guaranteed. More than a dozen Day 1s remain with the final shuffling up and dealing at 8:30 p.m. CEST on September 27. This particular tournament looks set for a substantial overlay.

Two-Day Sunday Million

There’s still something magical about the PokerStars Sunday Million; it’s still the online poker tournament everyone wants to win. You have the opportunity to do that on September 29 at 7:00 p.m. CEST if you exchange $109 for 10,000-chips. Of course, there are dozens of satellites from a mere $0.50; what can you buy with 50 cents these days?

Day 1 breaks eight hours and 50-minutes into the tournament before resuming at 7:00 p.m. CEST on September 28 to conclude the tournament and crown the champion who banks the lion’s share of prize pool guaranteed to be at least $1,000,000.
