Lightning Box has entered Pennsylvania’s regulated online casino market with the recent launch of two of its most popular slots via Scientific Games’ Open Gaming System (OGS).
The Sydney-based online casino games maker has rolled out Lightning Horseman and Respin Rhino in the Keystone State via OGS. The games are now available to locally licensed iGaming operators and their Pennsylvania-based players.
Lightning Box is set to release more of its popular online slots in the state in the coming months and build on its partnership with Scientific Games.
The studio’s recent launch in Pennsylvania marks another important milestone in its North America expansion efforts. Lightning Box first entered the US in 2015 when its games became available in New Jersey.
The iGaming developer and supplier’s content is also available through the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and Loto Québec to players based in the respective two provinces.
A few months ago, Lightning Box also extended its North America social casino footprint through a partnership with Reno, Nevada-based social gaming company Ruby Seven Studios which manages a multi-brand portfolio across multiple US states.
As part of that deal, Lightning Box has provided its partner with access to a range of its top performing games.
Looking Forward to Seeing the Results
Commenting on their Pennsylvania debut, Lightning Box CEO and co-founder Peter Causley said that they are very excited about the opportunity in the Keystone State and that they are looking forward to seeing the results there.
Mr. Causley went on to say that it bodes well for the studio that its content continues to “cross the bridge between land-based and online” in the lucrative US markets.
Of their integration with Scientific Games’ OpenGaming ecosystem, Mr. Causley said that this provides them with a good position to penetrate new markets and expand their audience and player base even further.
Scientific Games SVP Digital Dylan Slanley said that they are delighted to have played an important role in the studio’s entry into the Keystone State. He added that Lightning Box’s portfolio has performed strongly in neighboring New Jersey and that they expect the games to produce great results in Pennsylvania as well.
Scientific Games and its OpenGaming ecosystem have become an integral part of Lightning Box’s expansion across the US and as the studio seeks to reach a wider audience for its games.
Founded in 2004 and based in Sydney, Australia, Lightning Box is a multi-channel supplier of slots games for the casino industry. Its games are available with a number of gambling operators and multiple platform providers, including Scientific Games, Microgaming, and High5Casino, among others.
