ORYX Unveils Germany-Facing Link-Up with Greentube’s StarGames

Latest News

Online gambling software provider ORYX Gaming has teamed up with Greentube-owned online casino StarGames in a move that will significantly strengthen its presence in Germany as the country prepares for the introduction of a new regulatory framework.

As part of the deal, ORYX will provide its new partner with access to premium content from its exclusive RGS partners, which include iGaming studios such as GAMOMAT, Kalamba Games, Givme Games, Golden Hero, and up-and-coming slots maker Arcadem, among others.

The deal between the content supplier and StarGames also includes third-party content that is available via ORYX’s ORYX Hub aggregator. In addition, the online casino will be offered access to ORYX’s plethora of marketing tools, including free spins, tournaments and leaderboards that are all designed to significantly boost player engagement and retention.

StarGames is owned by Greentube Malta, a subsidiary of Greentube and part of the Novomatic gambling group. The online casino already has significant experience in Germany as it has a license to operate in Schleswig-Holstein, the only Germany state that allowed online casino-style gaming.

Germany is set to formally authorize online casino and poker games in July 2021 when the country’s new gambling regulatory framework is set to take force.

StarGames said last month that it has begun preparations to apply for a nationwide license in Germany as soon as this becomes possible.

A Significant Step

Commenting on their partnership with StarGames, ORYX Managing Director Matevz Mazij said that this recent deal marks a significant step for his company as it gears up “to take on the German online market once it fully opens next year.”

Mr. Mazij added that ORYX will benefit from StarGames’ long experience and leading position in the German market as it grows its business in the country.

StarGames Brand Manager Laszlo Pados said that ORYX has a diverse library of games from a growing number of industry suppliers whose content has already proved popular with German online casino players.

He went on to say that StarGames is currently looking for exciting and innovative content providers to add to their portfolio as they prepare to launch their Germany-wide operation with “top-quality content that fully complies with the German regulations.”

Aside from its preparations for a German license, StarGames is also currently applying for a license from the Malta Gaming Authority that would enable it to operate in other regulated jurisdictions around Europe.

This is the latest of several operator partnerships announced by ORYX recently. Earlier this month, the company unveiled a link-up with Åland Islands-based operator Paf to supply it with exclusive RGS content as well as with games from third-party providers across several regulated markets.
