Online gambling content publisher Yggdrasil will provide all members of its YG Masters program with access to its widely popular proprietary game mechanics to use them as a launch pad that would lift player engagement and retention to new heights.
Yggdrasil’s YG Masters program is part of the company’s Publishing arm, which was launched early this year. The program was designed to help established game makers as well as talented games teams that look for a way to break out in the online gaming industry by equipping them with its proprietary tools and solutions that they can use to make their content even more attractive.
Yggdrasil will now expand its YG Masters program by offering its members access to its in-house built mechanics, including Splitz, Gigablox, and MultiMAX. YG Masters studios will be able to incorporate these into their online casino games.
All of the above three were introduced this year and have so far proved extremely popular and successful in several of Yggdrasil’s newly released online slots.
Gigablox is featured in Lucky Neko and Hades and offers gigantic symbols that can pop up on the reels and lead to hefty wins when stacked. Splitz was incorporated into Yggdrasil’s Temple Stacks, Neon Rush, and Syncronite. It splits mystery symbols all over the reels to produce more win ways, extra scatter symbols, longer lines, or bigger clusters.
As for MultiMAX, it can be tried out with Yggdrasil’s Multifly! slot. It sees multipliers accumulate across the reels for cascading wins.
Thrilled to Share Mechanics
Two existing YG Masters partners – DreamTech Gaming and Bang Bang Games – have already signed up to Yggrasil’s mechanics and will develop new games with these next year.
The mechanics will expand YG Masters which currently enables its partners to craft and deliver gaming content using Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a pre-configured, regulation-ready development toolkit. The technology helps studios and game development teams apply standardized technology to develop and distribute their games to partners around the globe.
Commenting on this latest move, Stuart McCarthy, Head of Partner Programs at Yggdrasil, said that competition in the online slots market is immense and using “recognized and successful” mechanics is key to driving players and enhancing game performance.
Mr. McCarthy went on to say that their in-house mechanics have proved to be a revelation to the extent that they had to “recalibrate what successful releases look like.”
First releases incorporating the new mechanics are set to be revealed in 2021 and Mr. McCarthy said that they are excited to be able to help their studio partners grow and expand their offering while “delivering on our shared vision.”
