Dutch online casino content creator Stakelogic BV appears to be on a buying spree having announced the takeover of British studio, Hurricane Games, after completing the acquisition of Serbia-based slot developer Smart&Applied on June 4, 2021.

Under the terms of the deal, Stakelogic will retain the Nottingham City-headquartered provider’s team post-acquisition and will have “creative and technical freedom to develop and design games.” Hurricane Games will at the same time be able to take advantage of support from Stakelogic’s group of professional designers, developers, mathematicians, marketers, etc.

Greenlogic partner:

The strategic move that the fast-growing developer says “takes our in-house development capabilities to the next level,” is seen by the Netherlands-based company as “an ideal acquisition target,” as it had been “working closely” with the UK studio and its experienced team by way of its Greenlogic partner program.

Also part of its growth and enhancements efforts, last Friday Stakelogic acquired Belgrade-headquartered firm, Smart&Applied, which was founded as a game development studio in 2013 by Igor Marinkovic. The takeover was followed by the studio’s rebranding to Stakelogic Serbia.

Chief Executive Officer for Stakelogic, Stephan van den Oetelaar said that the acquisition that advances its in-house development capabilities allows them to “grow at pace while also delivering new, exciting content” to their operator partners on a regular basis.

The CEO went on to explain in the company press release that Hurrican Games was one of the first studios to join its trademarked Greenlogic Program, so they have “plenty of experience working with its team of incredible talent to create games that stand out in operator lobbies and deliver a superior player experience.”

He welcomed Hurricane Games to the Stakelogic family and said he looks forward to seeing “some truly special slots” leave their production line “over the coming months and years.”

Established in 2014, with offices in the Netherlands, Malta, Ukraine and the Isle of Man, Stakelogic has made quick work of becoming one of the most in-demand iGaming developers in the market. In 2020 alone, the firm, renowned for its trademarked Super Stake and Mega Super Stake features, released 48 classic slots and contemporary video slots.

Boasting four gambling licenses, and having games certified in over 15 jurisdictions, including key markets of Romania, Malta, and the UK, the developer’s games are live across more than 500 of the industry’s leading operators around the world.

Also commenting on the latest transaction, Technical Director at Hurricane Games, Andrew Fraser said…

“Stakelogic has been instrumental in our rise to date and I am thrilled to further strengthen the relationship between both studios via this acquisition.”

He added that they “have some incredible concepts in the pipeline” and now that they “are part of the Stakelogic family have the resources to bring them to life and deliver the best possible player experience across all of our titles.”

New slots:

The acquisition also closely follows back-to-back launches of six new Stakelogic titles, including the most recent, Sea God, along with Candy Links Bonanza, Ultra Joker, and Super Wild Blaster each of which was developed in collaboration with Hurricane Games as part of the Greenlogic program.
