Play‘n Go exploits an ancient Egyptian theme for its new King’s Mask video slot

Casino News

Swedish online casino games developer Play‘n GO has announced that it is exploiting one of the most famous artifacts from ancient Egyptian history for the theme of its new five-reel and 20-payline King’s Mask video slot.

The Stockholm-headquartered firm used an official Thursday press release to declare that its latest three-row release is ‘destined to stand the test of time’ and marks the first time it has introduced the King Tutankhamun character into its video slot portfolio. The innovator stated that the iconic golden death mask uncovered when the boy’s king’s tomb was rediscovered by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922 ‘is recognizable across the world’ and now serves as the central attraction for its latest online casino innovation.

Apparent association:

Play‘n GO pronounced that video slot aficionados ‘might see a connection’ between its colorful King’s Mask video slot and the 30-payline Legacy of Egypt title from 2018 owing to the fact that ‘a pharaoh makes an appearance on the reels’. However, the company furthermore pronounced that the more recent advance ‘is ideal for both new and experienced players’ and takes advantage of a legend that the holder of the celebrated ruler’s golden mask is to ‘be bestowed with unimaginable power and a fortune of riches’.

Serious symmetry:

Established in 1997, Play‘n GO is responsible for a portfolio of well over 220 titles including the recently-premiered Animal Madness, Lordi Reel Monsters, and Puebla Parade video slots and it described the new King’s Mask title as ‘a beautifully designed game’ that balances the ‘classic and contemporary’ to offer a ‘fresh take on a much-loved theme’.

Treble temptation:

Play‘n GO divulged that the King’s Mask video slot with its 94.29% return to player ratio comes complete with a trio of free spin bonus games offering as many as 15 additional attempts. Moreover, it noted that each of these incorporates a different multiplier for wins of up to 10,000 times the triggering stake alongside the chance to ‘try different features and gain different outcomes’.

Evergreen entertainment:

Charlotte Miliziano serves as Head of Games for Play‘n GO and she used the press release to pronounce that ‘the opulence of ancient Egyptian narratives’ represents a ‘forever popular’ theme for video slot aficionados due to the fact that ‘the content is so rich’. She went on to assert that none of these ‘is quite so famous’ as King Tutankhamun with the possible exception of his ever-fruitful decedent, Queen Cleopatra.

“As much as we like to explore narratives and character dynamics, we also like to make classic styles of games. This dedication to variety within our portfolio is why players come back to our games time and time again as they know they’ll be something for them.”
