Greentube acquires major share in iGaming systems and platforms provider Alteatec

Casino News

Greentube, the digital gaming and entertainment division of NOVOMATIC, has acquired the majority of shares in Alteatec, the market-leading iGaming management system supplier and platform provider.

Strengthening the infrastructure:

Following the terms of the agreement, Greentube Austria will take over a major stake in the Malta-based IT company to strengthen its B2B infrastructure and use Alteatec’s leading iGaming technology Olympus One to bolster its management system and platform offerings. Olympus One is a state-of-the-art system that offers Bonus Engines, Duel Tournaments, and other gamification tools, but also realizes a new concept of connecting the online world with land-based casinos and player lounges through the new Landbased Connection and Partner modules.

Thomas Graf, CEO at Greentube, said: “I am delighted to start 2023 in such momentous fashion. Alteatec is a market leader in iGaming technology and being able to utilize its talented and experienced team is going to be game-changing for Greentube going forward.”

Comprehensive solutions available:

Greentube will also use the provider’s award-winning content portfolio, as well as Alteatec’s key live dealer streaming and voiceover technology to reinforce its reputation as a leading content supplier to the iGaming industry. The latest deal will therefore result in Greentube’s capability to combine Alteatec technology with the NOVOMATIC electronic table games technology, Novo Unity, to provide comprehensive offline and online solutions.

Preferred gaming provider:

The acquisition also includes the assignment of the managing director’s position in Alteatec to Greentube CEO Thomas Graf and COO Georg Gubo, who will manage Alteatec together with its current MD Christian Sael. The company, established in Austria in 2001, has built a strong reputation as a worldwide supplier of innovative solutions in the iGaming field. Its main product, Olympus One, a prestigious iGaming management system in the industry – as well as other key solutions – has made Alteatec the preferred source for the increasing count of operators.

Christian Sael, Managing Director at Alteatec, added: “Greentube is a company that needs no introduction, so to become part of that storied brand truly is an honor. We’re all incredibly excited about this partnership and we can’t wait to get to work, delivering all the services we’re recognized for in order to help the company grow.”

Taking operations to next level:

Alteatec’s stunning portfolio of products and services will now be acquired by Greentube, the gaming, and entertainment division of NOVOMATIC, one of the biggest international producers and operators of gaming technologies. This announcement is the latest in a streak of high-profile mergers and acquisitions of the Austria-based company as it continues to expand its foothold across regulated markets around the globe.

Georg Gubo, COO at Greentube, said: “It’s incredibly satisfying watching the business grow, especially when we’re bringing in some of the best talent from around the world via this acquisition. Alteatec’s technology will rapidly increase our overall output, taking us to the next level.”
