Ethan “Rampage” Yau is one of the hottest content creators on the poker scene, having been named both Best Vlogger and Best Poker Personality at the 2022 Global Poker Awards. Poker players now have the chance to play with Yau online as he joined the World Poker Tour’s WPT Global as its first dedicated online poker content and brand ambassador.

Yau whose poker career began playing low-stakes cash games and documenting the journey on YouTube, now finds himself regularly playing in high-roller tournaments against the best players in he world and on popular streams like Hustler Casino Live.

With a residence in Montreal, he also players regularly on the WPT Global platform and will be playing April tournament offerings like the Sunday Slam and Grand Slam.

Yau is just the latest big-name poker content creator to join the WPT family. Last year, veteran poker vloggers Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen joined the WPT ambassador ranks and have been active at WPT stops throughout the world in the time since then.

In a welcoming video, Yau said he has been playing on WPT Global for a while and heard about it through his fellow content creators.

“Before I even joined as an ambassador I was playing on WPT Global from time to time,” he said. “I learned about it from seeing Brad and Andrew’s posts. They were talking about how soft the games were, how fun they were compared to other options. So I tried it out, made an account, and immediately understood the difference in what was going on.”

Yau had some history with the WPT brand before joining as an ambassador. In December 2022, he took down a WPT World Championship $25,000 High Roller for a career-best $894,240.

As a WPT Global ambassador, Yau will create content showcasing the platform and help grow the WPT Global community through community engagement.

Yau will also be in the WPT Global streets under the screen name “rampunts”, so look out for that name if you want a chance to win a pot off WPT Global’s latest ambassador.
