Gaming test lab and product certification consultancy BMM Testlabs has announced the appointment of Mike Van Ermen as Vice President of Business Development at the company’s Las Vegas headquarters. Van Ermen will report to the Executive Vice President of the North American region.

Travis Foley, Executive Vice President, commented: “BMM is experiencing very exciting growth, which has allowed us to further expand our leadership team. Mike joins BMM with a focused approach derived from his vast business development experience in the sportsbook, iGaming, hospitality, and technology fields.

The North American sportsbook ecosystem has launched impressive growth in recent years, and Mike has had significant positions at the forefront of this evolution. His extensive leadership experience in sportsbook operations will generate great success for our North American business development team.”

Mike Van Ermen continued: “I am fortunate to join BMM’s talented and experienced business development team during a time of record growth for the company. Working in the Las Vegas headquarters of the most experienced gaming certification laboratory in the world is a very exciting opportunity for me.

“In my previous position, I opened both online and retail sportsbooks, which has contributed to my passion for the success of the industry. I am committed to contributing my sportsbook operator and vendor knowledge toward new ventures and providing elevated service levels to our partners at BMM.”

The company added that Van Ermen brings “extensive” experience in sportsbook operations to BMM. In his previous role, he served as Vice President of Business Development, North America, for an unnamed “award-winning sportsbook and iGaming supplier,” overseeing the North American business pipeline.

Van Ermen’s appointment follows the promotion last week of Nick Demus to Vice President of Strategic Accounts, also at the company’s Las Vegas headquarters. Under his new role, Demus will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts for the North American region.
