Fontainebleau Resort Las Vegas Grand Opening

Industry

After more than 16 years of construction delays and financial challenges, Fontainebleau Resort Las Vegas is finally set for its grand opening in just a couple of weeks! We have an overview of this new, exciting resort and the amenities! Plus, Fontainebleau Vegas is not the only grand opening in Las Vegas for December, as the Durango Casino is set to become the newest Station Casino property in Sin City!

Hello friends, J Todd here on the Las Vegas Strip on a very windy afternoon here in Sin City.  Behind me, that’s Fontainebleau Resort Las Vegas, and if you know anything about this amazing project, then you know the struggles over 10 years which have led to its grand opening coming up in just a few weeks. Construction began on the big blue building back in 2007, and here we are just 16 short years later ready to welcome the newest Vegas Strip casino in just a few weeks on December 13th.

Located on the north end of Las Vegas Boulevard across from Resorts World, this 67 story building has over 3600 rooms, including standard accommodations all the way up to sprawling suites. They come with your choice of views from the mountains for you nature lovers, to strip views for you adventurous types, and even pool views for those of you who like a free show! There’s a 150,000 ft casino floor and nearly 100,000 ft of retail shops! You can make reservations here.

Plus an amazing selection of restaurants and bars ranging from Signature dining with world class cuisine, to something more Casual with everything from steakhouses to Asian fusion! There are also specialty shops on the promenade, serving bagels to burgers to tacos! Plus, an amazing collection of bars to choose from, each with their own unique experiences! Add to this a 14,000 ft fitness center, a 50,000 ft spa, and over half a million square ft of  customizable business meeting spaces, and you begin to see why people are so excited about Fontainebleau!  If all of this wasn’t enough, Fontainebleau Resort Las Vegas will also welcome Post Malone to their BleauLive Theater as their very first act, with concert dates set for December 30th and 31st!

And finally this week, with all the excitement surrounding the grand opening of Fontainebleau, it’s easy to forget that another new Las Vegas casino is opening its doors for the very first time as well! The Durango Casino is set to open December 5th, complete with fireworks and festivities all their own! This Station Casino property will have over 200 rooms, an 83,000 ft casino floor with 2300 of the newest slot machines, a sports book, and over 60 table games! The Durango Casino is located off the Strip on the Las Vegas Beltway!

Now, every time I do a video on the Fontainebleau Resort Las Vegas, somebody out there has to send me a nasty email or leave a comment on the video telling me I’m not pronouncing the name correctly. They don’t tell me how to pronounce it, they just tell me I’m wrong. Well here’s news flash for you: since I’ve been in Vegas, everyone I’ve spoken to and every story I’ve seen about this place on television has pronounced it… Fontainebleau! Just like me! So suck on that for a while!
