The Vamos Poker Tour and Faded Spade, the playing card company, are partnering up for 2025. Under the terms of a new deal, Faded Spade will be providing the tour with decks to be shuffled up and dealt at each of the VPT’s European stops next year.
As of now, the VPT has announced three stops — one in Milan, one in Bucharest, and one in Cyprus — with plans for further stops in Slovakia, Malta, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The deal will put Faded Spade cards on the table during all the events at each festival. The cards will be introduced at the tables once the money bubble bursts and will then be used until the end of each tourney.
Who Are Faded Spade?
You may already be familiar with Faded Spade’s work. The playing card company was founded in 2017 by Tom Wheaton and since then, had placed its cards on the felt of several big poker series.
Wheaton is a poker player himself and has a few deep runs in — among other things — several World Poker Tour events, where Faded Spade cards are currently the “preferred playing cards.”
“We’re excited to help enhance the player experience for loyal Vamos Poker Tour players as we continue to expand throughout Europe,” Wheaton told the press.
“Our partnership with the Vamos Poker Tour represents a fantastic opportunity to showcase the durability and design of Faded Spade cards to players at some of the most prestigious poker venues on the continent.”
Faded Spade also recently announced partnerships with the Irish Poker Tour and EDGE, further expanding the use of the company’s cards in 2025.
The 2025 Vamos Poker Tour
The Vamos Poker Tour is a Europe-wide tour that caters to small budgets with big guarantees.
For example, the upcoming Milan festival, will be held from January 16-27 at the Imperium Room. This festival has a €350 buyin Texas hold’em main event with a guarantee of €300,000. The festival will also have nine other events, with combined guarantees totaling another €100,000.
“The Vamos Poker Tour is committed to providing a top-tier poker experience, and partnering with Faded Spade is a testament to that commitment,” said Francisco Fernandez, the CEO of Vamos Poker Tour.
“We’re excited to feature [the cards] on our tables as we continue to grow the Vamos Poker Tour brand,” Fernandez added.
Two more festivals have been officially announced for 2025. Their events’ combined guarantees will be €200,000 at the Bucharest festival and €1,500,000 at the Cyprus festival.
The first VPT stop to use the Faded Spade cards at the table will be in Milan on January 17, 2025.
