sleta Resort & Casino reopened Monday in New Mexico with new safety guidelines to limit the spread of Covid-19, KOB reported.

The guidelines prohibit smoking on the property, require guests and workers to wear a mask and add plexiglass and face shields in close contact areas, according to Isleta’s website. Also, each team member will be tested for the coronavirus before they return to work, and scanned for symptoms of the virus before entering the resort.

Furthermore, the casino has installed barriers in between every slot machine on the floor and will sanitize each machine after it is used. The sportsbook will remain closed as will the food court, part of a $40 million renovation the casino began in 2017. Isleta previously said the sportsbook and food court collectively had a price tag of about $4.5 million.

Isleta is the second-largest tribal casino in the state, with $104.96 million in net win in 2019, as reported by Albuquerque Business First.
